(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 30, 2009 ) WELLINGTON, Colo—Adventure Travel Media Source, an online company that delivers publicity and media relations services for adventure travel clients around the world is pleased to announce that it is now representing Piedras y Olas, a Pelican Eyes Resort, located on the southern Pacific coast in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
Established in 2004, Piedras y Olas Hotel was founded by Chris R.A. Berry and A. Jean Brugger, to give back to the community that had welcomed them and to provide the financial support for their Fundacion A. Jean Brugger that provides local educational educational support. Two of the foundationÂ’s newest projects include an art gallery featuring local artists and a wildlife sanctuary and nonprofit veterinary clinic providing a safe refuge for abandoned, mistreated or injured animals.
Piedras y Olas Hotel is one of the biggest employers in the community with 66 contemporary units of varying sizes accommodating 180 guests. Built on a hillside overlooking San Juan del Sur and the Pacific, resort guests enjoy luxury accommodation, award-winning architecture, sweeping ocean views, fine international cuisine, gracious hospitality and local charm.
Featuring two restaurants and three infinity pools, the whole complex is surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens. The resort offers multiple choices for adventure tours including canopy (zip-line) tours, sailing on Pelican Eyes, the resort’s 42’ sailboat, surfing, sport fishing, scuba diving and horseback riding. Tours to explore the local surroundings including the colonial city of Granada, the ‘white towns”, lakes, volcanoes (dormant and active), are easily arranged.
Piedras y Olas is a popular venue for local residents and visitors alike, and is the place for weddings and honeymoons, offering packages that can include the ceremony as well as the ensuing celebrations.
