Travel News Releases

(I-TravelNewswire.Com, October 05, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- Your next Google search could garner you a movie preview as well as your results.
Typing in a term like “showtimes” and a location will produce movies in your area as well as a new “Trailer” button. When clicked, a trailer is grabbed from its YouTube home and will appear in a pop-up window.
These new buttons will also be in searches for single movie titles, Google stated in a blog post.
Other search engines utilize a “related searches” column for movie trailers and showtimes. The move by Google is clearly to give a more direct alternative to those sites, while improving their nonexistent capability.
The move is also an obvious tactic in its ongoing war with rival Bing. Google and Bing have seemingly gone tit-for-tat over the last few months, matching each other on many feature-based improvements. It is likely we will see a similar feature in the Bing realm rather soon.
As of now, trailer buttons are limited to English-speaking countries. Google has stated that it hopes to expand this new feature to other countries as well.
