(I-TravelNewswire.Com, May 07, 2013 ) DUBOIS, WY—The historic CM Ranch, located in a secluded valley on Jakey’s Fork Creek near the stunning Wind River Mountain Ranch, is announcing a special culinary week this summer that treats foodies to cooking lessons and exceptional cuisine from the CM’s resident master chef, Andrew Turnipseed. During the week of June 9th through June 16th, culinary enthusiasts can learn new cooking techniques and inspiring new culinary creations under the instruction of Chef Turnipseed at the CM Guest Ranch during ‘Cowboys And Cooking At The CM’.
In addition to studying Culinary Management at the Art Institute of New York, Andrew Turnipseed has worked in numerous remote resorts and lodges from Wyoming to Alaska, and at hotels in destinations like Bordeaux and New York. His unique spin on the culinary aspects of the ranch experience offers guests and extraordinary culinary experience at the CM Ranch. Visitors can expect hearty yet healthy meals and fun extras like an outdoor cook-out accessed by covered wagon and a lunch in the meadow after a horseback ride.
Since the Ranch is located right on the Wind River and has access to the crystal waters of nearby lakes, it’s only natural for people to want to fish. Adding to the culinary week experience, Chef Andrew will teach guests how to clean, smoke, and creatively prepare their freshly-caught trout riverside. During this event, guests will also have an opportunity to take other unique classes like how to make hor d’ oeuvres, summer grilling classes, cheese making, cured meat making classes, and summer cocktail classes. The week also includes a chili cook-off and other friendly cooking competitions. One of the main highlights of this Cowboys And Cooking Week is of course that guests can enjoy the fruits of their labor and eat everything that they learn to make.
The CM Ranch’s proximity to Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole also make it the perfect spot for a real western vacation. The CM offers a variety of outdoor adventures including horseback riding, fishing, hiking, pack trips, a weekly rodeo, cookouts, and more. During the day visitors can participate in ranch activities, take the cooking classes, or enjoy some R & R. With a family friendly environment, and a uniquely warm and welcoming atmosphere, the CM offers something for everyone and is great for families, couples, singles, and people traveling with friends. Guests bed down at night in cozy rooms complete with rustic décor that’s reminiscent of the old west. Amenities include an outdoor heated pool, hot tub, recreation room, a library, two sitting rooms with fireplaces, wireless internet, and more.
