(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 08, 2010 ) CEDAR CITY, Utah—Families can enjoy this line up: (1) the American Family Fest in early June that includes a national talent search, family genealogy, nightly concerts, a family recipe cook-off and the American Family Sports Competition; (2) the Utah Shakespearean Festival that runs mid-June to the end of August 30 and mid-September to mid-October. This is one of the largest Shakespeare festivals west of the Mississippi and it won a Tony Award in 2000; and (3) the annual Neil Simon Festival runs mid-July through mid-August and celebrates the work of the American playwright who is credited with 38 plays. New England Coast Offers Perfect Family Getaway
BAR HARBOR, Maine—Bar Harbor and the nation’s first National Park East of the Mississippi River both occupy Maine’s Mt. Desert Island, making excellent dual destinations for vacationing families.
