This former home to John Lennon, one of the world’s most innovative and legendary musicians, is hosting an extensive season of cultural events to commemorate his life and lifelong message of peace. The John Lennon Tribute Season kicks off off on Oct 9, 2010 when the worldÂ’s leading permanent Beatles-themed visitor attraction, the Beatles Story, accepts a John Lennon Peace Monument on behalf of Liverpool and Europe, gifted by the USA organization Global Peace Initiative. LennonÂ’s son Julian, will unveil the 18 foot-high monument which will forever be a sign of LennonÂ’s life and messages of the importance of peace. Attendance to the actual unveiling is by invitation only, and it has just been announced Beatles Tribute Fan Trips has received these highly coveted invitations for their trip participants.
Activities and events included in the package include a Cavern Club concert (the club where manager Brian Epstein discovered the Beatles), private party at the Casbah Coffee Club (the basement club where it all began), Royal Philharmonic Orchestra John Lennon Songbook concert, tours of John and PaulÂ’s childhood homes, a Beatles Liverpool tour, and entrance to Beatles Story and the White Feather exhibit. The final night includes a fabulous exclusive party at Beatles Story with two members of The Quarrymen, John LennonÂ’s original band formed in 1956.
