PS3 New Game 'The Last Guardian' Follows in the Footsteps of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 11, 2011 ) New York, NY -- Sony Computer Entertainment is releasing the follow-up of the acclaimed ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. The Last Guardian, which is exclusive for the Playstation 3 is the third video game by developer Team Ico. Directed by Fumito Ueda, the game is about a young boy and a giant flying creature named Trico who are trying to navigate their way through the ruins of an unfriendly castle.

The Last Guardian PS3 is a third-person game that combines puzzle solving and adventure. Players can control the unnamed boy to perform similar actions like in ICO ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Make him run, climb or jump, as you use the environment to move around undetected by slow-moving, shadow-being guards. The boy is initially weaponless and must defeat the guards. If he is captured and is not able to escape in time, it will be game over.

Fans of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus should expect to see the same great artistic imagery and gameplay elements in this new game. They will also be entertained by the storyline of the boyÂ’s budding friendship with Trico, the giant creature. The Last Guardian release date is set for December 31, 2011.
